Summary: Pulse is free, open-source software licensed under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, distribute, and run it on your systems according to the terms below.

1. License and Permissions

Pulse (including the macOS application, the Go Linux agent daemon, scripts, and documentation) is licensed under the MIT License:

Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files (the "Software"), to deal in the Software without restriction, including without limitation the rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, and to permit persons to whom the Software is furnished to do so, subject to the conditions stated in the LICENSE file.

2. Server Security and User Responsibility

You are responsible for:

  • Securing the Linux servers and workstations where Pulse is deployed.
  • Safeguarding authentication tokens, pairing codes, and TLS private keys.
  • Configuring firewall rules, Tailscale permissions, or Cloudflare Access policies appropriate for your infrastructure.
  • Ensuring that actions executed through the application (such as service restarts, system reboots, and Docker container termination) comply with your organization's operating guidelines.

3. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT.

The developers and contributors do not warrant that Pulse will meet your specific requirements, be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

4. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS, COPYRIGHT HOLDERS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, SERVER DOWNTIME, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

5. Governing Repository

Source code and updates are maintained at github.com/miftahganzz/Pulse. Modifications to these terms will be reflected in the repository history.
